Hello I'm Erica, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I specialize in treating anxiety in Los Angeles, California. I have office locations in both Sherman Oaks and Pasadena.
You may be wondering what inspires me to do the work that I do. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people live better and happier lives. I’ve always been fascinated with how people have developed in to who they are today, their stories, hopes and dreams, and how they choose to use their unique gifts.
The experiences of my life have led me to believe we all have the natural capacity to grow and flourish in a positive direction if we have the support we need.
I provide therapy to professional women, many of whom feel disconnected, frustrated or lonely. Our society perpetuates the idea that we must strive to be something other than we are: to be less aggressive, less emotional, younger looking, thinner, etc. These strong pressures cause many to strive to some ideal of perfection. This leads to the comparison trap, feelings of never being good enough, and wondering what you are doing wrong when everyone seems to be "on-track" in life. In our time together, I will hold the space for hope and healing while we look at what is, and is not, working in your life and create space for finding new ways of moving through the world with more ease.
Prior to completing my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I attended the University of California, Irvine and received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Social Behavior and Political Science. I have extensive training and clinical experience in various residential and intensive outpatient facilities working with those struggling with substance use and a wide array of mental health issues.
